I’m a mom, a wife, a freelance writer and editor, sewer, maker, lover of books and fabric and sewing, and especially books about fabric and sewing. There’s a rumor flying around that I may also suffer from an incurable case of reality TV addiction. But that’s just between us, right?
I’m always striving to find the ever-elusive balance between responsibility and creativity—trying to take care of business, and take care of myself at the same time, just like every other woman I know. What’s the next move? And did anybody bring a map?
I’ve learned so much from all the creative bloggers out there who share their wisdom, insights, and talents with the rest of us. They inspired me to try to do the same. With Sewthegirl I hope to offer tidbits of useful information and inspiration to entertain others like me, who are always balancing on the knife-edge, running a perpetual 15 minutes late for their lives, carving out spare moments to feed the creative beast within as well as the hungry munchkins in the kitchen who want a snack MOMMY RIGHT NOW PLEASE THANK YOU.
Thanks so much for visiting my little baby bloglet! May she grow tall and strong and confident in the face of the dirtstorm of life. I could use some of that too, while you’re at it.
